Life with the Boy

Just this past week alone, Jack has:

*thrown many sippy cups, toys, plates, etc. into the trash

*slammed fingers in cabinets and doors many times, and was also the victim of one car door slamming onto his arm (don't ask; I wasn't there, so I can't explain!)

*taken several face plants on the concrete
*given himself a mysterious black eye

*developed a severely swollen pinky toe, which looked like a little cocktail sausage and required a trip to the pediatrician and two kinds of antibiotics and might lose the toenail

*tried to eat several food items out of the trash, including chicken fat

*apparently decided to take his nap with no diaper on, much to my surprise when I walked in and the diaper was thrown on the floor in the middle of his room and he was, of course, soaked

*tried to eat tater tots off the park ground and breakfast off the ground at the lake house about 8 hours after the meal was over

*decided that he does not like to be in the water, including the bath, lake or swimming pool

*started yelling "NOOOO" with a perfect little O shaped mouth

*also started putting two words together like "bye bye da da" or bye bye moo's"

*turned 18 months old today!

*melted my heart daily with this big cheesy grin!

A couple weeks ago, we found Kendall in her crib - naked bum up the air - after stripping her diaper off too. Is that some sort of phase?

So precious! Funny how boys like to dig in the trash and have to pick up everything they find on the floor.

Welcome to the life of being a momma of a precious big boy!!!! They are so different from girls. Kobe was at the ER to get stitches at 9 months. We also lived with concrete skid marks on our face, legs, etc. when we were Jack's age. I could also tell you stories that would make you sick to your stomach about Kobe and his ability to find and eat the grossest stuff!!! He is a very healthy almost 10 year old with all of his appendages!
